Itinerary:
Day 1.- Huaraz - Yungay (2900m) - Hualcayan (3000m) - Huishcash (4320m) Early in the morning we leave Huaraz towards the Callejón de Huaylas. We continue our trip to Hualcayan - the starting point of our trek. Here we meet with our team (porters, donkeys). Ascending a Zig-Zag trial we slowly gain altitude and can see the northern part of the Callejon de Huaylas. We arrive at our camp site in the late afternoon and can enjoy the beautifull sunset over the Cordillera Negra.
Day 2.- Huishcash (4200m) - Toropishtanan Pass (4850m) - Osoruri (4300m)Today is going to be a hard one: the highest pass of the tour is expecting us. On our way we pass 1 turquois mountain lakes, Cullicocha ( 4600 m. )- "Cocha" in Quechua means mountain lake. Continuing our trek we have a beautiful view on the Santa Cruz (6259m) with its impressing ice wall. Finally we come to a mountain lake, which is the beginning of our steep ascent to the pass. Day 5.- Jancarurish (4200m) - Cara Cara Pass (4830m) - Huillca (4000m) Today it is again going to be a hard day:two passes are expecting us. However, first we have to cross a river - hopefully without getting wet. What follows then is a steep ascend towards the first pass. Having arrived there we are rewarded with a fantastic view of the Jancarurisch (5578m), Quitaraju (6036m) and Alpamayo (5947m). Again we are impressed by the seemingly unapproachability of those ice giants. After short break we start our descent down to the Mesapampa valley and then directly climb the second pass (4500m). From here we see the Laguna Safuna, which we leave at the right side to come to our camp site (Huillca ).
Day 6.- Huillca (4000m) - Yanacon Pass (4600m) - Jancapampa (3600m)

Finally we walk down to the Laguna Huecrucocha, where we spend the today`s night.
Day 8.- Quisuar (3950m) - Pucaraju Pass (4650m) - Tuctu (4200m) A Zig Zag path leads us to the Pucaraju pass. The view from there are really amazing to Yanapaccaha, Huandoy, Chopicalqui, Huascarán ...
Day 13 .- 3 a.m. start the ascent to the summit.
We will gain the glacier just beyond the lake and follow it without difficulty to the Huandoy-Pisco Col (5,350m). From here, the route climbs broad slopes towards the summit. Although never steep (up to 45°), we will need to be careful in picking our route through crevasses and over snow bridges before approaching the final summit section. Here we may encounter the steepest snow slope, a short pitch of 50 - 60 º, before pulling on to the summit. Our ascent will be rewarded by absolutely brilliant views ( 360 °), especially of Chacraraju and Huascaran.
Is the most view from a summit in cordillera Blanca.
