Itinerary:
Day 1.-
Huaraz - Yungay (2900m) - Hualcayan (3000m) - Huishcash (4320m) Early in the morning we leave Huaraz towards the Callejón de Huaylas. We pass carhuaz and stop at Yungay to visit the "Campo Santo" – Holy place. Yungay and its 20,000 inhabitants were burried under an avalanche caused by a tremendous earthquake in 1970.

We continue our trip to Hualcayan - the starting point of our trek. Here we meet with our team (porters, donkeys). Ascending a Zig-Zag trial we slowly gain altitude and can see the northern part of the Callejon de Huaylas. We arrive at our camp site in the late afternoon and can enjoy the beautifull sunset over the Cordillera Negra.

Day 2.-
Huishcash (4200m) - Toropishtanan Pass (4850m) - Osoruri (4300m)Today is going to be a hard one: the highest pass of the tour is expecting us. On our way we pass 1 turquois mountain lakes, Cullicocha ( 4600 m. )- "Cocha" in Quechua means mountain lake. Continuing our trek we have a beautiful view on the Santa Cruz (6259m) with its impressing ice wall. Finally we come to a mountain lake, which is the beginning of our steep ascent to the pass. On the top we see the Milluacocha (5480m) - on our ascent to the next camp site Osoruri we pass this mountain on the right side.

Day 3.- Osoruri (4300m) - Alpamayo pass (4750m) - Jancarurish (4200m) Immediately after breakfast we countinue our trek towards the Alpamayo pass from where we once again can see the Milluacocha and the Pilanco (5373m). The descent leads us in several serpentines down to the Los Cedros gorge. We now can admire the first time the perfect ice pyramide of the Alpamayo (5947m) - many mountaineers call it the most beautiful mountain of the world.

Day 4.- Rest day with visit to "viewer" Alpamayo piramid..

Day 5.- Jancarurish (4200m) - Cara Cara Pass (4830m) - Huillca (4000m) Today it is again going to be a hard day:two passes are expecting us. However, first we have to cross a river - hopefully without getting wet. What follows then is a steep ascend towards the first pass. Having arrived there we are rewarded with a fantastic view of the Jancarurisch (5578m), Quitaraju (6036m) and Alpamayo (5947m). Again we are impressed by the seemingly unapproachability of those ice giants. After short break we start our descent down to the Mesapampa valley and then directly climb the second pass (4500m). From here we see the Laguna Safuna, which we leave at the right side to come to our camp site (Huillca ).

Day 6.- Huillca (4000m) - Yanacon Pass (4600m) - Jancapampa (3600m)
On our way to the pass we can observe with some luck condors and eagles. The Yanacon pass then gives us a good view at the Pucajirca (6050m). Passing the Laguna Sactaycocha we arrive at our camp site - the first one under 4000m. (7 - 8 horas)

Day 7.- Jancapampa (3600m) - Tupa Tupa (4400m) - Huecrucoha lake (3850m) Today we th e first time cross a typical andean village, Pingoshpampa, where we get an impression of the life of the indigenous population. We stay here a little bit and then start ascending the pass, which by far is not as high as those before. Again we are rewarded with a wonderful view. Finally we walk down to the Laguna Huecrucocha, where we spend the today`s night.

Day 8.- Quisuar (3950m) - Pucaraju Pass (4650m) - Tuctu (4200m) A Zig Zag path leads us to the Pucaraju pass. From here we see some of the most majestic and beautiful mountains of the Cordillera Blanca: Chopicalqui (6354m), Huascaran (6768m, the highest mountain of Peru), Huandoy (6160m) and Taulliraju (5830m).

Day 9.- Tuctu (4200 m.) - Vaquería - Paccha (4000m) Today`s destination is called Paccha. The trial leads us through a beautiful tract on a soft grass floor - a great boon for our punished feeds. We pass the second andenean village called Vaquería (3900m) - here we also can go for a short "shopping" tour. After some serpentines we come to an asphalt street and search for a suitable camping site on the right hand side of it close to the river.
Ascent to Pachha (4,200 m.) Camp.

Day 10.- Paccha (4000m) - Portachuelo Pass (4767m) - Cebollapampa (3950m) - Today we cross the pass Portachuelo (4767m) Descent and visit to the mountain lakes Llanganuco - Orconcocha (3857m) and Chinancocha (3850m) Descent to excelent place with views to the mountains. Cebollapampa camp.

Day 11.- Rest in Cebollapampa camp.
Visit to 69 leke (optional)
Excelent view to Chacraraju west face.

PISCO ASCENT
Day 12 .- The walk to Pisco base camp path meanders from the valley floor, crossing several rivers, before ascending the hillside. Finally, the sparse trees give way to an open valley at the head of which we will find the base camp and refuge "Peru". (4750 m.)
We follow the morain terrain to "morain camp" (4900 m.) The camp will be close to little lake.
The view from there are really amazing to Yanapaccaha, Huandoy, Chopicalqui, Huascarán ...

Day 13 .- 3 a.m. start the ascent to the summit.
We will gain the glacier just beyond the lake and follow it without difficulty to the Huandoy-Pisco Col (5,350m). From here, the route climbs broad slopes towards the summit. Although never steep (up to 45°), we will need to be careful in picking our route through crevasses and over snow bridges before approaching the final summit section. Here we may encounter the steepest snow slope, a short pitch of 50 - 60 º, before pulling on to the summit. Our ascent will be rewarded by absolutely brilliant views ( 360 °), especially of Chacraraju and Huascaran.
Is the most view from a summit in cordillera Blanca.
Some seasons, is posible find ice walls ( 10 - 30 m./ 65 - 70 º).
Return to base camp.

Day 14 .- Descent to cebollapampa and return to Huaraz.

Optional: Make the descent from portachuelo de Llanganuco to Yungay in mountain bike (2200 m. in down hill)
