MOUNTAIN BIKE TRIP
2 DAYS.
From Lima we travel by bus to Huaraz (3,090m), a bustling highland city ideally located at the foot of the giant peaks of the Cordillera Blanca. The Cordillera Blanca has over thirty peaks above 6,000m, making it the highest tropical range on earth.
After a period of acclimatisation in and around Huaraz, we set off down the Callejon de Huaylas, then climb eastwards into the wicawain

Itinerary
Day 1: Huaraz - Recuay 3400 m. ( in bus )
We will ascent fromRecuay. to Huancapetí pass (4300 m. - 30 km.)
Descento to Aija (3,360 m.) village.
- rest in hostal
Aija is a tipical andean town, with excelent vision to valley.
Day 2: Descento from Aija toHuarmey city ( coast )
the route is through a green valley.
In Huarmey citywe will visit to Tuquillo beach.
Camp (optional )
North of Paramonga, sand dunes encroach on the main coastal road as it continues the 75km to HUARMEY , where you'll find the exhilarating and usually deserted beaches Tuquillo. A seemingly endless beach with powerful rolling surf - often a luminous green at night due to phosphorescent plankton being tossed around in the white water crests - and a perfect spot for camping . Some of the desert you pass through has no plant life at all, beyond the burned-out tumbleweed that grows around the humps and undulations fringed with curvy lines of rock strata - intrusions of volcanic power from the ancestral age. In places, huge hills crouch like sand-covered jellyfish squatting on some vast beach.
