Ascending a Zig-Zag trial we slowly gain altitude and can see the northern part of the Callejon de Huaylas. We arrive at our camp site in the late afternoon and can enjoy the beautifull sunset over the Cordillera Negra.
Day 2.- Huishcash (4200m) - Toropishtanan Pass (4850m) - Osoruri (4300m)Today is going to be a hard one: the highest pass of the tour is expecting us. Having arrived there we are rewarded with a fantastic view of the Jancarurisch (5578m), Quitaraju (6036m) and Alpamayo (5947m). Again we are impressed by the seemingly unapproachability of those ice giants. After short break we start our descent down to the Moyobamba valley and then directly climb the second pass (4500m).
